[Comment to] Like it or not, open source is a movement
The Peter Quinn comment, with out a doubt will raise some eyebrows. However, like any other community, industry or civilization constructive criticsm should always be considered. This, I believe was Mr Quinn's intent.
Mr. Quinn was simply expressing, for the most part, in order to relate to your customer, in this case business, address your customer with their comfort level in mind. It's all about the customer, and corporate is the customer here. It is reasonable to make your customer feel comfortable with you, know your customer, and communicate on an equal ground. After all, if you want someting, shall we say corporate support, by all means at least try to fit in.
How easy is putting on a sport coat and I tie? You may find your quite dashing! :-)

I have to agree 100%. It's hard to get corp recogntion if your image is
that of a hacker or starving artist.
