Etymotic Research has a very interesting gadget for your iPod. ETY8 is a high fidelity, noise isolating set of earphones with wireless connectivity via Bluetooth. Each earpiece packs a digital amplifier that exceeds the iPod's and with the Bluetooth no wire, no tangles and a better sound quality.

Packing your iPod in your satchel, pocket or desk draw keeps you rockin with out your iPod knockin.

Not sure of the comfort nor how well these blocks hanging off your ears really look. (At first glance this might be analogous to a pocket protector on any Geek-O-Meter) But its wirless, looking goofy or not, you'll pay $299 for the earphones and iPod adapter or $199 for just the earphones.

If your spending that much I'm sure you won't look goofy.
